Would you like to  Know More?

  • What is a professional photo manager?
Professional photo managers help families and businesses bring order to their photo and memorabilia collections and implement methods to ensure the long-term preservation of those priceless treasures. But even more importantly, professional photo managers strive to tell the stories behind the photos, so the memories may be shared and enjoyed and then passed on to future generations. I am proud to be a Certified Professional Photo Manager wth The Photo Managers association. I have completed the advanced coursework, demonstrated proficiency with all associated technical skills and have agreed to The Photo Managers Best Practices and Code of Ethics.
  • Why do I need a professional photo manager?
Here are reasons we hear a lot... do any of them apply to you? • I have so many photos to organize that I am overwhelmed and don't know where to begin. • In case of an emergency, it would be impossible to save my photos, because they are in boxes and on various outdated digital devices all around my house. • My parents' 50th wedding anniversary is coming up, and I would like a video montage to commemorate their years together. • I keep saying I am going to get my photos organinzed, but I just never get around to it, and it constantly hangs over my head. • I just inherited my parents' photo collection, and I want to be able to share them with the rest of my family.
  • Why should I have my photos, slides and negatives digitized?"
Having your older images converted to digital makes sense for many reasons: ● Photos, slides, and negatives degrade over time. Converting them to a digital format will allow you to preserve the quality of your images. ● You will have a back-up copy of your photo archive to keep in a safe place in case of fire, theft, accidents, natural disasters, etc. ● All of your photos can be shared among family members. ● Converting your photos to digital will also allow you to use your images to create albums, video montages and a variety of other gift and display options.
  • Where will the digitization of my photos, videos and film happen?"
At Photo Legacy Studio, we have state-of-the-art, professional digitizing equipment right here in our studio, and we digitize all media according to the highest industry standards. Occasionally there is a format we do not convert ourselves, in which case, we work with highly trusted industry partners.
  • If I decide to work with Photo Legacy Studio, what will the process be?"
At Photo Legacy Studio, we like to begin with a complimentary phone conusltation, and if we decide to work together, then we will meet for a Discovery Session. During this session, we will determine the state of your current collection, your short term and long term goals and then we will provide you with a detailed Photo Management Plan to organize and preserve your invaluable photos and memorabilia. Once we have a plan, there are a few ways to proceed with your project: • Work on your own: You may use your Photo Management Plan to begin working through the stages of your project. You may reach out to us anytime when you need inspiration, motivation or additional to support, and we can schedule a session to help you move to the next stage of your process. • Work with us: We will schedule regular times to meet to work on your project. At the end of each session, we will determine your homework which you will do before the next time we meet. We may also take part of your project back to the studio to complete. • We do the work for you: If you simply do not have the time to organize your photo collection, we are happy to do it for you, and we will keep you informed every step of the way.
  • How much will it cost to organize my photo collection?
Every photo management project is different, so it is impossible to tell you up front exactly how much it will cost. There are a number of factors which will affect the total cost of your project including: how many photos you have, how organized your collection is to begin with and how much of the project you will do on your own. Rest assured that as we move through process, we will let you know how much each step will cost, so you can decide how and when you would like to proceed.
